Chapter 1076: There Will Be More Chances
In the upstairs hospital room, Reed woke up shortly after falling asleep, drenched in sweat.
Allan held Reed's hand tightly, whispering, "I'm here, don't be afraid."
After a moment, Reed regained her senses and her gaze settled on Allan's face. "Where's my
brother?"
"He's downstairs. Should I go get him?"
Reed hesitated for a few seconds, then shook her head gently. "No need."
Seeing Reed's expression, Allan felt his heart ache. He leaned down and kissed her gently, repeatedly.
"I'm sorry."
Just as Allan was about to say something to comfort Reed, she suddenly spoke up.
Confused, Allan furrowed his brows. "Why apologize?"
However, Reed remained silent, wrapping her arms around Allan instead.
Allan hugged Reed for a while, then spoke gently, "I know what you're thinking. I don't blame you for
this. Don't overthink it, alright?"
Reed murmured in agreement, "I'm just feeling a bit upset."
No one wanted this kind of situation. The initial tests hadn't detected anything wrong. The decision to
keep the child had been a thoughtful one. Yet, when they were preparing to welcome a new life,
something like this happened-a turn of events they hadn't anticipated.
Allan hadn't expected it, and neither had Reed. It was truly an unexpected turn of events.
Understanding Reed's sensitive nature, Allan reassured her repeatedly, urging her not to dwell on it. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
They were still young, and there would be more chances in the future.
Comforted by Allan's words, Reed fell asleep again.
Watching Reed sleep, Allan let out a deep sigh.
At that moment, Mitch entered the room.
Thinking that Reed had been asleep the entire time, Mitch approached the bed quietly. Upon seeing
Reed sleeping, he turned his attention to Allan and whispered, "Would you like to lie down on the bed
for a while?"
Allan shook his head. "No need. You should go back. I'll stay here."
Mitch sat down on a nearby chair. "It's fine. I already told Natasha and the others that I won't be going
home tonight."
With Mitch's assurance, Allan didn't insist further.

Because both Aurora and Reed were in the same hospital, Yanis had prepared breakfast for both of
them in the morning and planned to bring it to the hospital.
Zane originally had an early meeting scheduled, but seeing Yanis busy in the morning, he decided to
postpone it by more than half an hour.
Once breakfast was ready, Yanis and Zane left together.
"I can handle it myself. You should just go to work," Yanis said as they walked.
Zane took the breakfast from her hands. "I'll take you there. Later, you can come to the office with me."
Yanis glanced at Zane and then at the breakfast. "I don't feel like going."
"I have something to discuss with you today, be good," Zane replied.
Yanis relented and allowed Zane to take her to the hospital.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Yanis had initially planned to visit Reed before going to see Aurora with
Zane. However, Zane handed her Reed's breakfast and said, "You go see Reed, and I'll go to Aurora.
I'll find you later."
Yanis hesitated for a moment, recalling that Zane had been on the phone with Albi earlier. Not wanting
to cause further trouble, she acquiesced. "Alright, just tell Aurora I said hi."
Zane nodded. "Take your time."
Yanis carried the breakfast to Reed's room, while Zane, after making sure she had entered the
elevator, headed toward Aurora's room.
In Reed's room, Allan sat by the bed, holding the breakfast Yanis had brought. He fed Reed carefully,
teasing, "If you're here so early, won't Zane be worried? I could have bought breakfast instead."
"There's nothing better than homemade food." Yanis glanced at Allan before looking at Reed. "I told
Auntie to bring lunch for both of you later, so you don't need to buy anything outside."
"No need, Yanis. I'll ask Allan to get something from a restaurant." Reed declined gently.
"Even if I don't bring it, Auntie will still come." Allan glanced at Yanis. "Are there other people in the
hospital?"
Yanis didn't try to hide anything. "Something happened to Aurora yesterday, and she got injured. She's
also in the hospital."
Hearing this, Allan furrowed his brows slightly. "Aurora?"
Yanis confirmed with a nod.
"What happened to her? Is it serious?"
"She got cut on her arm, but other than that, she's fine."
While feeding Reed, Allan spoke softly, "I'll go see her later."
They had spent time together in the Viteto mountains, and though their relationship wasn't perfect, they
were acquaintances at the very least.
Just then, Zane entered the room.
Upon seeing Zane, Yanis stood up, asking, "Why did you come so quickly? How's Aurora?"
"Not good news." Zane's tone was grave.
"Mr. Lawrence," Reed greeted Zane.
Zane nodded in response. "Take care of yourself. Yanis worries about you."
Reed nodded. "
I know."
Allan looked at Zane. "Aren't you going to the office today?"
"I'm leaving now." Zane turned to Yanis. "Let's go."
Yanis understood and bid farewell to Reed, then left the hospital with Zane for the Lawrence Group.
Upon arriving at the company, Zane directed Yanis to his office. "You can stay here for a while. I'll be
done in about half an hour."
Yanis nodded. "I'll rest in here. Just call me when you're done."
Before leaving, Zane made sure Yanis was comfortable in the resting area, covered her with a blanket,
and kissed her gently before heading out.
Perhaps due to waking up early, Yanis fell asleep on the bed after a short while.
When she woke up again, there was someone else in the room.
Yanis stared at Zane for a moment, unable to resist reaching out and lightly tracing her finger along his
brow.
