Chapter- 15 new fate
The ringtone of the phone disturbed Allison's sweet little nap and she groaned before grabbing her phone from the table near her bed. After having a warm shower, she couldn't restrain herself from seeing the fluffy bed which was tempting her to own it. She was drained, it was long day and night so she lost in her slumber as soon as her head hit the bed.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"Ali, thank Goddess you are fine. I was worried about you. Don't scare me next time, I called you at least thirty times in the past hour. Did He hurt you?" Nora shrieked at her as soon as she received her call. Allison squeezed her eyes as her mind hardly turned relaxed after listening to the news Nora dropped on her a few hours ago and now this.
"For goddess' sake, don't shout, Nora. I'm good and breathing well." Allison said before sitting up with her drowsy self.
"Whatever! I'm happy that you are fine till now. It's been a few hours since you left and Alpha has been wandering like a raging bull. He destroyed your place. He...he burned your home." Nora informed her, tentatively.
Allison sucked a deep breath, the leftover sleep leaped out of her body hearing the news. He burned her home, her only place where the memories of her family were buried. How could he? Tears brimmed in her eyes and a hiccup left her mouth freely. She choked on my sob.
It was obvious, He hated her now because she was the reason for his son's death. He couldn't fight with Lyceon so he was releasing his fury on others.
But her home. It was the only thing she ever had. "Ali, Iam sorry." Nora whispered, sounding sad and remorseful. She sniffed.
"It's not your fault, Nora. It was inevitable. I can understand his wrath." Allison wiped my tears not breaking down on the call. Nora hummed.
"Even Naomi, she has been running insane without her mate. She asked about you after you left. When I told her the whole story, she exploded like a volcano. She felt the immense ripples of pain last night indicating that she lost her mate. He was dead."
A gasp left Allison's mouth ghastly. Naomi's mate was dead. She felt her anguish sinking deep into her soul. She was a healer for a sake who can't stand others' sorrow.
"Iam just relieved that you left with the king otherwise her death would have been unavoidable in his hands with the way she behaved. He had killed our people so her hate was justified." Nora let out. Allison could match her worry. Naomi would have dared Lyceon who was responsible for her mate's death. And He wouldn't bat an eye before strangling her if she tried to combat him.
"How.... How is she?" she asked, feeling helpless.
"Miserable." Nora sighed. Allison nodded though Nora couldn't see her but still there was a comfortable silence in between them. Their lives just turned upside down in a day.
"Allison, I am worried about you. I am sorry I couldn't..."
"Nora... don't be. It's nobody's fault. I will call you later, okay." Allison cut the call unapologetically. It was too much for her. Nothing was going fine. An exasperated sigh left her mouth. Her head pounded with all the latest news blasted upon her. She didn't want to talk to anyone.
If Naomi's mate is dead now then Mason...
Cold shivers ran down her spine thinking of the possibility. But she can't feel that, only a mate can feel the pain of the death of his or her mate. How could she know whether her brother was alive or not, where he is and how's he doing?

She clutched her head and wept silently for the loss of her people and the agony upon
her. She never imagined her life like this in her wildest dreams.
And the only person behind all of this is,
That monster who owns her now.
What to do? How to escape this new fate?
Her lungs constricted to breathe in the freedom of her thoughts. She believed Today was a painful day as she felt the loss of my pack members and her old life.
Allison realised She wouldn't accept this new fate! She can't lose anything or anyone anymore. She needed to do something.
To get the fresh air, she thought to get out of the suffocating walls of this room. She walked to the window and opened it. She looked outside at the enormous garden, behind which there was a big clearing that ended in the forest. She saw it was another evening, the sun was setting indicating it's been almost twenty-four hours since she had left my pack. The ride was long enough.

Allison checked the time and realised she took three hours sleep. Sighing, she brushed her hair and didn't feel embarrassed by her old apparel. Simple White tea with black joggers. She walked downstairs praying not to bump into anyone. She was not in the mood to cross the path of any of the bloody dark walkers.
Allison almost got lost in that big mansion on her way out but managed to head out because of her sharp memory. She didn't have a tour of the place yet. She headed to the backyard into the clearing. Mindlessly, she strolled into the narrow lanes in the garden encircled by the bushes to clear her thoughts. She craved to feel fresh and empty, with cleaning thoughts.
The fresh fragrance of the distinct mixtures of blossoms put her into some relief and she felt nostalgic. She diverted her mind to inspect a few herbs and plants which she learned were barely available in her pack. They were rare and their fragrance captivated her to touch them and feel them. She could make a use out of it.
Suddenly her ears perked as she heard the slight snap of twigs around the bushes behind her and felt someone's presence.
Is it Him?
Allison spun her head around in fear and uncertainty but as soon as she did, a cold and intoxicating air emitting from someone hit her face and suddenly a woman's complexion appeared in front of her eyes too close to her. And she screamed.
