Chapter Thirty-Three; Punishment
The next day, I returned to work. I took a short detour to my team’s studio to inform them of my situation, and their reaction was the same as mine. They all wished me good luck, grateful for the fact that I wasn’t out of the company for good, some even saw it as a promotion, all except Caspian who still blamed himself for my predicament.
I tried my best to reassure him. It would’ve been worse if he’d lost his job because of me, and I never regretted standing up for him. Now it was time for me to face the consequences of my actions. No matter how absurd they might be.
As I made my way to the CEO’s office, my heart was in a frenzy, but I did well to maintain a neutral expression. I wore one of the dresses he’d sent; a simple yet classy navy blue sheath that hugged my figure modestly, with clean lines and a knee-length hem. My hair was neatly packed into a ponytail, and I completed the look with sleek black heels.
I still couldn’t believe I was being relegated to a role as a personal assistant. It felt like a punishment, a demotion in every sense, despite the reassurances from my colleagues. I’d spent years honing my skills as a designer, pouring my creativity and passion into every project. And now, I was expected to fetch coffee and manage schedules? The absurdity of it all gnawed at me.
Doubt crept into my mind. What if I couldn’t handle this? What if I failed at even this basic task? I wasn’t trained for this kind of work. The responsibilities of being the CEO’s assistant were entirely different from what I was accustomed to. I was used to creating, and bringing visions to life, not managing mundane daily tasks.
I shook my head, heaving out a long breath as the knot in my stomach tightened.
I waited at the lounge outside his office like his secretary had instructed, and not long after I arrived, the CEO stepped out of his office. My heart skipped a beat, lips parting in awe as I took in his jaw-dropping appearance.
He looked even more handsome today, wearing a tailored black suit that fit him like a glove. The crisp white shirt beneath it contrasted sharply, and a slim, burgundy tie added a pop of color. His polished black shoes and a sophisticated silver watch completed his effortlessly stylish and professional look.
There was a fluttering in my chest, and somewhere else as well.
I immediately stood to my feet, my neutral expression cracking as he glanced at my way. Our eyes met for a brief moment, and at that moment, I only saw him. As he approached, I couldn’t help but admire the aura of confidence and authority he exuded. His presence was commanding, yet there was a hint of warmth in his eyes as he looked at me, but it left as quickly as it came.
“We’re heading to a meeting.” He said curtly. His tone was cold, and it was enough for me to snap out of my daze. As he walked on, I trailed behind him, staring hard at his broad back as we made our way to his private parking lot.
He didn’t say anything else. All through the drive and till we got to the venue. He didn’t even spare me another glance. It pained me for some reason. I didn’t know what to expect, but his cold reception was off-putting.
Stupid beautiful man.
We arrived at the venue, a modern conference hall with sleek glass walls that reflected the morning sun. I continued to follow him like a duckling waddling behind its mother, feeling the weight of his presence beside me like an unspoken command.
He took his seat at the head of the table, and I positioned myself discreetly beside him, keeping my gaze neutral despite the turmoil inside me.
As the meeting commenced, I jolted in my spot, goosebumps littering my skin as an electrifying jolt shot through me, the shock coming from right between my legs.
What was that?
I settled, thinking it was my nerves, but then it happened again, this time more intense than the last.
I gritted my teeth, my hands balling into fists at my sides as I tried hard to keep a straight face and not disrupt the meeting.
My chest heaved, my legs quivering as I fought to ignore the persistent throbbing pulse that sent waves of pleasure through my body.
What the hell was happening to me?
I unconsciously glanced at the CEO. I found him watching me with a knowing smirk, his eyes dark with amusement.
He looked like he was thoroughly enjoying my struggle as if he knew exactly what I was going through. My eyes narrowed in suspicion as he discreetly pulled out a small remote from his pocket, flashing it briefly before tucking it away.
I only saw a glimpse of it, but I recognized the device, putting two and two together.
I gasped, hushing my voice as realization hit me like a sledgehammer.
Oh no.
The panties he had insisted I wear-they were equipped with a vibrator, and the remote in his hand controlled it.
My cheeks flushed hot with embarrassment and arousal.
How could he do this in the middle of a business meeting?Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
What the hell was wrong with this man?!
Luke’s gaze held mine, his expression a mix of dominance and challenge. I struggled to maintain eye contact, torn between the humiliation of being controlled so blatantly and the undeniable thrill of his power over me.
Soon I felt the vibrations increase and my knees almost buckled. I hissed, sinking my teeth into my bottom lip as I bit back a moan. I tipped my head heavenward, taking deep breaths.
Tears gathered at the corner of my eyes, the hairs at the back of my neck standing erect as I felt my pussy ache with painful need.
It was excruciating, feeling my arousal wet the panties that caused my torture. I knew he had a hidden agenda, but I never expected it to be something like this.
The CEO chuckled, responding to a business partner who shared a small joke, but I knew that it wasn’t the reason for his laughter.
He glanced at me again, his lips moving.
“Enjoy your punishment.” He whispered, bringing me oblivion as the vibrations became unbearable.
