The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

66

‘They’re accepting Ethlyn for their selfish reason, not because I made them do so. They were free to leave the pack but wondering where they would go; they ended up staying here for their safety reason.’ Calvin thought.

Soon, all the pups came running out of the packhouse happily. They didn’t even have the idea that they were kidnapped because they went in the bunker on their own, that too in excitement because the whole bunker was a play zone and pups enjoyed their time playing various types of games. All Zordan and his men had to do was to tell kids about taking them to the play zone if they would bring at least ten other pups with them. And all the pups did this on their own wish.

“Thank you, Alpha!! Thank you, Alpha,” multiple pups started thanking Calvin. Calvin smiled at them. Little did those innocent pups know that the moment they were enjoying was also the moment where their parents were worried sick for them.

“Pups!! Meet Ethlyn, the Luna of the pack.” Calvin introduced Ethlyn to them on which their smile widened.

“I was going to ask the same,” Brad said. “Because I feel connected to her, and we have been told that while the adults are connected with the Alpha of the pack, pups are connected with the Luna of the pack,” he added, to which other pups nodded their heads.

“That’s right.” Calvin smiled at them.

The adults of the pack felt connected to the Alpha of the pack. In the case of Calvin’s anger or any other emotions, they could feel that. In the same, pups were connected to the Luna, and these bonds were vice-versa.

Calvin sensed Ethlyn’s pain, who held his arms for support. “Excuse me, everyone.” He said, picking Ethlyn in his arms. Damn, he forgot in the rush that Ethlyn was beta blood and the amount of pain that Ethlyn would feel would be unbearable for a while, and the fact that her wolf wasn’t with her now was also not in her favor.

“You okay?” Calvin asked, observing her face in pain.

She shook her head before replying, “I feel like someone pierced thousands of needles in my body at once. But I’m trying to handle it because it’s the third time I’m going through this phase.” She added, groaning in pain.

Calvin already realized why she mentioned ‘THIRD’ time. She might have felt the same pain when Alpha Nathan would have marked her and rejected her. That was the reason most of the wolves died during rejection because they couldn’t find any reason to stay alive after rejection.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

‘And I will have to go through this pain for the fourth time as well.’ Ethlyn thought, which Calvin heard loud and clear.

‘Will I reject her too, just like Alpha Nathan?’ Calvin wondered, and just a simple thought of leaving her made him feel guilty. His father taught him never to claim anything which he didn’t want, whether it was any relationship or toys or some food or pet.

“Mommyyyy!!” Roselet came running from the living room when she heard the sound of the door getting opened and found Ethlyn in Calvin’s arms in a bridal style. “What happened to her, Calvin? Where was she?” She asked.

“Later, Rose. She needs rest.” Calvin replied.

Roselet didn’t ask anything and followed her father, she watched Calvin placing Ethlyn on the bed, and that was when she observed Ethlyn’s torn t-shirt. Without asking anything, she silently reached near Ethlyn to check whether she was injured or if something had happened to her mother.

“Mommy, please turn a little.” She requested Ethlyn when she saw her swollen neck. “Do it, mom; I have to see what happened to you.”

Ethlyn looked at Calvin, but when she didn’t receive any response from her, she turned around as requested by Roselet. Roselet observed a big area of Ethlyn’s neck and shoulder bitten, and it was still fresh. Ethlyn was still bleeding.

“Daddy?” Roselet held Calvin’s hand in concern.

“Don’t worry, sweetheart. Whenever a werewolf marks anyone, then, in the beginning, it looks like in the same way before forming….”

“Tattoo?” Roselet asked in between, to which Calvin nodded his head.

“Now, go and have your lunch. I know you haven’t eaten anything. Our question and answer time is in the night.” Calvin said, patting Roselet’s back to walk toward the door. Roselet pouted. “Go, love.”

“Okay, daddy.” Roselet agreed when she observed Calvin’s narrowed eyes. Once she left, Calvin turned his head toward Ethlyn, who was ready to sleep by covering herself with the blanket.

“Wait!!” He mumbled. “You will end up ruining the bedsheet, pillow cover, and blanket with your blood.” He said rudely and made her turn around to examine his mark on her shoulder. It could be healed by him by licking that area.

He sat beside her on the bed and started leaning toward her neck.

Sensing his warm breath on her skin, Ethlyn turned around and found her face just an inch away from him.

“What are you doing?” She asked, not expecting him to start his shameless activity just after some minute of marking her. But then, all her thoughts about him were proved to be wrong. She kept her mouth before knowing his intention.

“I have to close my mark properly, or it will take days to heal. And I don’t want Rose to get worried all those days by observing it.” Calvin replied, making her turn around. “Don’t start getting any stupid idea, okay,” he added because he again heard her thoughts that he was going to start a shameless activity with her just after marking her.

He leaned a little more and ran his tongue along his mark slowly. And the moment he did so, Ethlyn’s heart started pounding loudly in her chest. She wouldn’t be surprised if Calvin would say that he could hear her heartbeats, and it was true.
