Chapter 69
Chapter 69
*Can we maybe skip this part?” Howard couldn’t stand to see her so troubled and spoke up.
The photographer’s expression was resolute as he shook his head. “It would compromise the integrity of my work. A wedding photo shoot is a complete series! Plus, your folks signed off on the shoot agreement in advance. I call the shots during the session!”
How could he possibly let go of such a perfect shot?
Roselind nodded. “Howard, I booked this photographer especially because he’s a true pro! His work has won awards internationally, you know.”
But boy, did he have quirks!
While most places treated their clients like royalty, he acted like a diva, expecting everyone to dance to his
tune.
That was the confidence of a top–notch photographer.
Gwendolyn tugged at the sleeve of his suit. “Mr. Chadwick…”
She was so embarrassed. The thought of a passionate kiss before their elders made her face red.
“Clearing the room isn’t too much to ask, right?” His voice was like the chill of an early spring frost, the icy sheen on a tranquil lake.
“Howard! Don’t do this!” Jeannie wailed. She had been all set to capture the moment for posterity.
Suppressing a smile, Roselind said, “Jeannie, let’s step outside.”
“Mom!”
“Let’s go.”
With one hand, Roselind pulled her daughter, and with the other, her husband, as they exited. The photographer gestured for everyone else to leave, leaving only a young assistant behind.
The studio suddenly became a lot quieter.
“Gwendolyn, look up at me.” Howard commanded softly, “They’re all gone.”
Gwendolyn lifted her gaze to meet his, her posture rigid, her limbs tense.
“I can’t,” she protested.
“Yes, you can.” Howard’s gaze was intense, remembering the passion of their night together.
“It’s just a temporary measure,” he added. “We’ll get it done and make Nicolette happy, too. Afterward, the photographer can send the raw photos to your phone.”
Gwendolyn bit her lip and nodded slightly.
Her eyes were clear and trusting as she looked at Howard. Only he knew the devilish thoughts he harbored.
Who could force him to do anything he didn’t want to?
“Enough with the whispers. Mr. Groom, I’ve cleared the room for you!” the photographer clapped his hands. “Ready, you kiss, and I’ll capture the moment. I say stop, then you stop.”
He adjusted his camera, focusing on them.
Howard’s fingers gently grazed her cheek, admiring her exquisite features, her lips plump and full of life.
11:50
He leaned in, and his lips gently met hers.
Gwendolyn clutched at his sleeve, forced to tilt her head back, revealing the graceful curve of her swan–like neck
She closed her eyes in submission, Howard’s onslaught growing like a storm that left her dizzy and disoriented.
It was passionate and scorching.
A rush of embarrassment flooded her.
Gwendolyn’s tongue tingled to her spine as if electricity swept through her. Barely able to stand, Howard clasped the back of her head, pulling her closer and deepening their fiery kiss.
Forget all that talk of Bayridge Clly’s gentlemanly scion, all airs of a gentleman!
But in his bones, he was fierce and predatory.
From the moment she appeared in her wedding dress, it had been hard for him to look away from her lovely figure, shy gaze, and the inadvertent peeks of more that came with a downward glance.
He even thought of tearing it all away to see her laid bare.
The “click” of the shutter echoed in his ears, and in these fleeting moments, Howard indulged his desires.
Gwendolyn was nearly overwhelmed, but waves of blood surged, drowning her senses and consuming her embarrassment for what felt like forever.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
