Chapter41 The God Would Make Fun Of Her
The God Would Make Fun Of Her
She was a little sad. In fact, she had been attracted to Jeffery for a long time. But now, she had to calm
her down.
When Sarah left, she was sent away by Jeffery and he called a taxi for her personally. Jane couldn't tell
how she felt, but she was very sad. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
After sending Sarah away, Jeffery went upstairs to talk with Jane. Jane felt that she was in a good
mood and saw Jeffery take out chopsticks to taste the dishes that Sarah had just cooked.
Jane didn't speak but just looked at Jeffery. He tried it before saying, "It tastes good. I didn't expect you
to cook. I thought..."
"Miss. Crowe cooked it." Before Jeffery could finish his sentence, Jane took the lead and admitted that
she didn't cook by herself.
Jeffery was stunned and glanced at the dining table. Then he noticed the dumped dishes in the trash
can. He didn't say anything but poured the dishes made by Sarah into the trash can.
"What's wrong with you?" Jane looked at his movements and the food in the trash can, and could not
tell how she felt.
Wasn't he and Sarah a couple? Why did he do this? Was Jeffery still angry?
Jeffery didn't say anything and looked pale. He took out his mobile phone and called Aldred. Then he
turned to Jane and said, "I ordered takeout for you. Aldred will send it to you later."
"I'm not..." Jane wanted to say that she was not hungry. Before she could finish her sentence, Jeffery
had already turned and entered the study. The door slammed shut, and Jane's heart beat faster.
Jane looked at the closed door and didn't know what to say. Jeffery didn't give her an explanation and
didn't seem to need an explanation. They had nothing to do with each other.
Aldred arrived soon with two bags in her hand, which contained a lot of delicious food, including the
food that Jane and Jeffery liked.
"Miss Jane, where is the president?" Aldred looked upstairs.
Jane helped Aldred put things on the table, and she found that two of them were made by Sarah. She
couldn't help but ask, "Aldred, do you know Sarah?"
Aldred was stunned by the question. He was such a very smart person. If someone had not told Jane
about Sarah, she would not have known about it. Jeffery would not have said it, so Jane had to listen to
others.
After thinking for a while, Aldred did not answer Jane directly but asked. "Why does Miss Jane
suddenly ask me this?"
"Nothing, Miss. Crowe just came here. I didn't hear you mention it before, so I want to ask you,
otherwise it's not good to make a misunderstanding in the future." Jane didn't tell Aldred. Sarah said
that she was Jeffery's girlfriend, and didn't ask directly what kind of relationship they had.
But her words surprised Aldred, he seemed to be a little nervous and asked. "Where is Mr. Jones?
Have you seen Miss. Crowe?"
Jane nodded and glanced upstairs again. He sighed secretly. Aldred's look had explained everything,
and Jane did not continue to ask.
After sending away Aldred, Jane vanesly served some food to the second floor. She knocked on the
door of Jeffery's study and asked softly, "Jeffery, Aldred just brought the meal here. I've brought some
for you. Do you want to eat now?"
Jane waited for a while before Jeffery opened the door, but he did not take the food in Jane's hand. he
said with a cold face, "Eat it yourself, I still have work to do."
"Well, I won't bother you anymore." Jane turned around and went downstairs. The moment she turned
around, the door of the study room was closed by Jeffery. Her heart trembled as she closed the door.
She pursed her lips together and said nothing.
Actually, Jane didn't know how to face Jeffery. When she just wanted to accept someone, why did God
joke with her like this?
Jeffery did not eat, and Jane did not have the mood to eat, so she just packed up and went back to her
room.
Jane waited for Jeffery all night. She didn't know when she fell asleep, but Jeffery didn't go back to the
bedroom. When she woke up the next day, she found that there was no temperature beside her.
In the past, Jane always woke up in Jeffery's arms. Jeffery left first, and there was a trace of gentleness
around him, but today there was nothing.
Jane got out of bed and came to the study. Jeffery was gone. There was a thin blanket on the sofa.
Jane was a little upset. She went downstairs and saw the breakfast left by Jeffery.
There was a note under the cup. Jane picked it up and found that it was Jeffery's note. "Remember to
have breakfast. I'll go to the company first."
In the past, Jeffery would never leave such a message. But today's sudden action made Jane feel
weird. She didn't know how to face Jeffery.
When she arrived at the company, Jane felt that the atmosphere was not quite right. Everyone looked
at her as if she was a joke.
Jane punched card and entered into the company, she then found that many colleagues were chatting
and laughing. Jane did not think too much and was about to go upstairs and return to the office, but
was stopped by someone.
Sarah came over with a box of dessert and said with a smile. "Jane, you just come in time. I'll treat
everyone to dessert. This is for you."
Jane was very surprised to see Sarah here, and looked at her colleagues behind her. They were
chatting and laughing with snacks in their hands.
Some people watched the fun and did not mind it. "Oh, I thought some people hook up the rich, but it
turned out to be empty."
Another person echoed, "That's right. I thought she was proud. Now the main hero appeared. Let's see
if she is shameless."
They talked in a few words, and their voices were very unpleasant. Sarah seemed not to hear it and
still looked at Jane with a smile. However, Jane didn't have the mood to eat dessert, or didn't want to
stay here embarrassedly.
She felt sad, and her face looked bad. "Thank you, Miss. Crowe. I don't like desserts. You can enjoy
them. I'll go upstairs first."
"Wait, I will go with you. I am going to find Jeffery," Sarah said as she handed the desserts to her
colleague. She held her bag tightly and squeezed into the elevator with Jane.
Surprisingly, there were only two of them in the elevator. Jane lowered her head absent-mindedly.
Jeffery had asked her to call him "Jeffery" at first, but Sarah called him "Jeffery" now. This was a very
kind nickname. Jane felt a little stuffy in her chest.
"How long has Jane been in the company?" Sarah took the initiative to find a topic.
Jane was pulled back from her daze and smiled stiffly, "Less than half a year."
Sarah nodded and seemed to understand, "I see. No wonder you're not familiar with Jeffery's daily
habits, but it doesn't matter. I'll take care of him in the future. You can continue your work."
