CHAPTER 23- CATHERINE SILVA
CHAPTER 23- CATHERINE SILVA
Bee stabilized herself on the chair and looked at the rack which were now easily reachable to her;
many photo frames of different size and shape were arranged on the first to racks... All of the same
person.
She knew deep down that she wasn’t supposed to be doing it but humans were born with a heart full of
eagerness. Bee tried to suppress all the bitterness welling up inside her heart and picked up a frame in
means to take a better look. Her eyes went widen in shock as they met with the image of one of the
loveliest creature she had ever seen in her whole life.
The girl looked like a young girl around 10 or 11; even though her tone was not as fair as hers but olive
in nature she still looked angelic. Her eyes were almond shaped with thick dark and beautifully cured
eyebrows right above them, a pair of long and curled eyebrows protected those delicate black eyes.
She was blessed with a little Roman nose and her bow shaped lips in a sweet peach colour were
curled into a hearty grin revealing her perfect row of white teethes.
Her black hairs were cut into short waves, suspending loosely above and trying to reach her shoulders.
The girl looked pure and chaste, her eyes had no speck of evilness and them. Bee couldn’t help but
admit that she was one of the most beautiful girls she had ever seen.
Bee kept that picture and started to look through the other; there were more than fifty frames featuring
her. Some of her in school uniform, some sitting on a chair wearing luxurious clothes, some were
candid pics of her running is grass fields and eating candies, hugging a teddy bear larger than her,
holding a bouquet of flowers, blowing bubbles and many more. No matter at what situation or dress she
was in she looked angelic.
There was something printed in one of photos; she pulled the picture closer to her face to read the
minute wordings.
‘Catherine Silva, Age 12. January 1, 20XX.'
The name was as beautiful as the girl herself. The year suggested that it was clicked four years ago in
New Year. If the girl was 12 year old back then it would mean that she was as the same age as her, just
four months older than the latter.
Bee was still utterly confused why there were so many pictures of this girl in Ryan’s room; what was
she to him? Thinking this she darted her eyes up to discover some more photos, this time there were
two people in one frame- Ryan and the girl.
Her face fell drastically as something within her shattered; Ryan looked young and handsome but this
didn’t make Bee fascinated as she had seen him many times like this. Little Bee skimmed through all
the photos, some of them holding hands, some of them sitting together, some of them in luxurious
clothes. Bee felt her eyes well up; she had never been disappointed in her life like today.
She tried her best to deny it but the harder she tried the more obvious the fact looked; they were
childhood sweethearts and must be really dear to him that he cherished her belongings with such care.
She hung her head and blinked vigorously to fight back her tears; she adored and admired him all her
life, terming him as her Prince Charming and weaving fantasies of being with him. No wonder he
denied her approach and shunned her when he was budding with her stupid emotions. The ‘her’ back
then must be Catherine who held a special place in his heart.
She forced her lips up and uttered to herself in a cracking voice, “No wonder he asked me to give up
when I wasn’t even sure about my emotions. He already has someone he love!”
Bee always believed that her emotions for him were childish as her, before a week she wasn't even
aware that this man was true. She was sure she wasn't in love with him and only treated him as one of
her stupid fantasies. Little did she know that she was making a fool out of herself; she had invested
more emotions on him than she could afford to. Somewhere within her child play she started to grow
feelings for him which were piercing through her heart making it bleed.
She no longer wanted to stay in the room; she closed the glass case and dragged the chair back to
where it was. Snorting her nose she pulled her sleeves and ran out of the room and only stopped when Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
she was already under her bedsheet.
She pulled her quilt up to her head and stayed unmoved; even though her figure looked as if she was
fast asleep underneath the fabric her eyes were wide awake staring into the void.
Something strong was stinging in her eyes making her want to cry so bad but she stubbornly held onto
the blanket and refuses to cry. She couldn't help but think about the things she leanrt about just now.
Who was this Catherine and how did she meet Ryan? If they really shared a relationship as suggested
by the things she saw back in room then where was she now? What happened next? Are they still
seeing each other?
Bee had no idea when she fell asleep last night, when she traces back her memory all she saw was
herself fighting and calming her own emotions. She sat up lazily and shooted a hooded gaze at the
door which was being knocked and was the reason she woke up. It was Lily who was here to invite Bee
to breakfast.
Bee was not at all hungry and thus turned down the invite saying that she had no appetite. Lily was
worried; Bee was someone who would kill for food and it was a matter of worry if she was refusing to
est. The maid tried a few times to persuade her to come down and eat at least a little portion of the
food but the girl said a firm no and dropped back on the bed to sleep.
Lily gave up persuading and immediately ran down report everything to the head maid who herself fell
in panic after listening to it. Ryan had strictly ordered that he should be the who would be reported if
she was acting strange.
The maid didn't think twice as she walked up to the phone and started calling the Young
Master.
