Chapter 52 Where's Your Integrity?
Chapter 52 Where's Your Integrity?
Abby Miller really wanted to slap herself. Why was she staring at Richard Scott? Wasn't it better now? Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"If I have to sit in front of Richard and face him face to face, it's really my own fault. I can't live."
"Well, forget it... I won't disturb your work."
She shrank her neck and squeezed out a flattering smile.
"Have you forgotten your duty again?"
Richard Scott glanced at her and Abby Miller shrank in fright and she immediately surrendered
obediently.
She looked around and picked up a chair. She dejectedly placed it in front of Richard Scott's desk and
sat down obediently.
"From now on, you just look at me like that. If you dare look away once, you can try."
Richard Scott suddenly raised his hand and pointed at Abby Miller's nose, who was sitting opposite
him. He said with a deep smile.
After hearing that, Abby Miller almost fell off the chair. She was full of regret.
She really wanted to shout, "Mr. Scott, stop it, okay?" Where are your coldness, your pride, and your
integrity? Could you please pick them up?
Just as Abby Miller was wondering how to deal with Mr. Scott, the internal line on the table suddenly
rang.
Richard Scott answered the phone. Soon, Summer Kent's voice rang out, "President, Old Master is
here."
Abby Miller obviously heard it as well. Her expression froze for a moment before she looked up at
Richard Scott.
Richard Scott's face immediately darkened.
Hanging up the phone, he looked up at Abby Miller and said, "You go into the lounge first."
Abby Miller obediently walked into the lounge in the office.
This should be the place where Richard Scott rested when he was at work. It was clean and simple,
and there were a few sets of clean clothes hanging in the wardrobe.
She sat by the bed, not daring to make a sound.
Soon, the sound of the door opening came from outside the office. Sam Scott and Daisy Scott came in
together.
Old Master was dressed in a black Tang suit with dark lines. His white hair was neatly combed.
Although he was holding a crutch in his hand, his waist was straight.
Daisy Scott held onto Old Master's arm. Her pale yellow embroidered dress was rolling with black
edges and an elegant bun was coiled around her head. The diamonds on the accessories were shining
with a dazzling light.
"There are still many things to deal with in the company. I don't have much time. Just say it."
Seeing the two of them, Richard Scott stood up with a gloomy expression on his face.
"Can't I come and see if there's nothing else? What's with your attitude?"
Old Master didn't expect his son to have such an attitude as soon as they met. His face darkened in an
instant, and there was anger in his tone.
"I think my attitude is very polite. I have ten minutes to go to the meeting. If you have something to say,
hurry up."
Richard Scott was not afraid of his father's darkened face at all. He snorted and said rudely.
With a thud, Old Master's walking stick smashed heavily on the carpet.
His beard kept trembling. He pointed at Richard Scott and was about to flare up. "You unfilial son..."
"Old Master, calm down. Don't let your anger damage your body."
Daisy Scott, who was next to him, quickly reached out to stroke his back. As she helped him walk to
the sofa and sat down, she reminded him softly, "It's important to get down to business, Old Master."
He snorted and barely suppressed the anger in his heart. Then he said, "I came to you today to talk
business with you."
"Didn't I tell you a few days ago that the Lee Family and the Scott Family are going to have a marriage
alliance? We'll have dinner with Chairman Lee in the next two days."
A mocking expression appeared on Richard Scott's face. He looked coldly at his father and did not
speak.
"I hope you can prepare well at that time."
Old Master's face was dignified, and his words were unyielding.
Richard Scott inserted his hand into his trouser pocket. The ridicule in his eyes deepened and his
expression turned so cold that it caused the atmosphere in the room to turn solemn.
Abby Miller, who was sitting in the lounge, could imagine how terrifying the expression on Richard
Scotts' face, even though she did not see what was happening outside with her own eyes.
When she thought of that cold face that kept people thousands of miles away from people, and that
pair of emotionless eyes that looked down on all living beings, she felt that she had an impulse to
tremble.
After a long while, Richard Scott said coldly, "Old Master, if you're here today to talk about this, you can
go back now."
"You evil son, do you want to piss me off?"
Old Master's face turned red and he knocked hard on the ground with his walking stick.
Richard Scott did not care about his reaction at all. He turned around and pressed the internal
telephone number. He instructed his secretary, "Summer Kent, Old Master is leaving. Send him away."
Daisy Scott, who was sitting next to him, had been watching the father and son confront each other. At
this moment, she quickly stood up and walked to Richard Scott's side.
"Richard, just listen to your father and go meet Miss Lee. It's just a meal and you don't have to do
anything. Maybe you will find that Miss Lee is the kind you like. At least Miss Lee is much better than
the little girl beside you."
Daisy Scott's voice was very gentle as she persuaded Richard Scott with a smile.
"Aunt, please set up your own position. When the Old Master married with you, you should serve him
well. This is the only meaning of your existence in the Scott Family. Don't criticize me. You are not
qualified."
Richard Scott let out a snort from his nostrils. He ignored the broken smile on Daisy Scott's face and
continued, "Have you really become the mistress of the Scott Family after being praised for a few
years? My fiancée is not a little girl. Please pay attention to your wording. Also... it's up to me whether
she's good or not. You don't have the right to comment."
After saying that, Richard Scott dashed past Daisy Scott. He did not even want to look her in the eye.
Daisy Scott's expression grew more and more ugly. She could only smile stiffly and say, "Richard, don't
misunderstand. That's not what I meant."
"If you don't mean that, then what do you mean?"
Richard Scott put his elbows on the desk and crossed his fingers. He looked at Daisy Scott coldly and
warned her, "Don't think that I don't know what you've done behind my back. I advise you to behave
yourself."
Daisy stepped back with a pale face and stood beside Old Master. She lowered her head and said
nothing.
"You unfilial son, how dare you talk back to your elders for an outsider? Do you really consider me your
father? Let me tell you, you have to meet her, even if you don't want to!"
Sam Scott looked at the heartbroken Daisy Scott and shouted with a determined expression.
"I'm sorry to tell you that I don't have time. A week later, I happen to be on a business trip abroad, so
you can go now."
Richard Scott flipped through the schedule on the table and said casually.
"Get rid of the job!"
"Old Master, I can make you stand here and talk to me, which means that I still value you. But... you
want to control my life, what right do you have? Do you deserve to be my father?"
When he said this, Richard Scott's face was already filled with disdain. There was also a hidden hatred
in his eyes.
The look in his eyes deeply shocked Old Master. He suddenly felt a little guilty, but in the end, he didn't
say anything else and left angrily with the pale-faced Daisy Scott.
The conversation between the father and son ended unhappily again.
