Rory stopped talking.

Cathy stopped asking, either.

In the police station, Cathy was walking out along the corridor after she finished the recording. Suddenly she observed a familiar figure. She squinted trying to confirm the figure then she walked towards it in hurry.

However, the figure was like a ghost. It was disappeared when she got there.

She was confused looking around but she could not find anything. She stopped a young policeman passing by and asked," Excuse me, did you see a tall thin young man standing here just now?" "A policeman?"

"Well, I don't think so. He was not in a uniform."

Sorry, I did not pay attention too much."

Cathy was disappointed. She shook her head," Never mind, thank you."

Was she looking in the wrong?

That figure...and his side face... were familiar to Cathy so much.

But she did not know, when she was absent-minded walking out, there was a tall thin figure appeared at the corner of the corridor. His pretty and young face was watching her leaving. His darken eyes was combined with a deep sense of complication.

That face... was Aaron's.

Suddenly, he was slapped gently from the back," Mr. Lee, what's going on?"

The man collected himself and the expression on his face returned indifferent. He turned to the man came from his back," Nothing, Lawyer Hill, have you found the document?"

"Well, it's nearly done. We could appeal after three months." The middle aged man patted his briefcase.

"Good job."

Lawyer Hill shook his head and patted on Aaron's shoulder gently," Let's go back now."

"Wait a minute. I need to go to the restroom." Aaron smiled gently. He lowered his head tidied his lappet then walked away.

The sergery had been carried on for five hours. Cathy did not eat or drink anything waiting outside.

Matt and Mrs. Lawson were all there. The atmosphere was quiet and depressive.

Rory brought water and food walking towards them.

"Miss Lawson, Mrs. Lawson, please have some food."

Cathy moved her stiff arms and legs and raised her head. Her worried expression was a little eased, too. She said," Thank you. I'm not hungry. Don't worry about me."

Mrs. Lawson was panic in her heart, too. But she could not let her daughter endure the pressure alone anymore," Cathy, don't let me worry. You must have some food."

Matt opened a bottle of water and asked Mila to hand the bottle to Cathy. He persuaded with a mild voice," You must have something even though you are not hungry. You haven't drink water for hours." Rory stood aside and did not say anything.

Mila pressed her lips and handed a bottle of water to Cathy.

Cathy was amused by Mila's cute expression and finally, a smile appeared on Cathy's face. She took over the water and held Mila in her arms. She coaxed with a low voice," Let's eat together, ok?" The girl rubbed her face on Cathy's chin.

Cathy raised her head," Mother, Matt, please have some food, too when they are still warm."

When they were eating sitting on the bench, Cathy's phone suddenly vibrated.

She put down the food and cleaned her hand. Then she took the phone and had a looked at the screen chronically, she was suddenly stunned.

Mr. Franklin?

"Pardon me, please. I have to take this call."

Cathy walked away for a few steps and picked up the phone. She had a tentative greeting," Hello? Mr. Franklin?"

"Yes, it's me," A mild male voice came through the phone from the other side. He joked," I'm not sure if you forget me."Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

"I don't mean the number of course. I called Mr. Brown and I heard that you asked for leave for a long time. Was that because that your mother was ill? How's it going now?"

Cathy was confused a little but she replied instantly," She is good now. I will back to work these days. Thanks for your concern, Mr. Franklin."
