Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 55

Wilbur glanced at Edward. “You aren’t any match for him, but I am. I’d like to see if he dares lay a finger on me.” This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

The classmates were at a loss for words.

None of them had expected Wilbur, who had been silent the whole time, to have such nerves.

Anyone could tell that Edward did not dare to mess with Mister Torrent, but here Wilbur was, doing exactly just that.

!

Nancy tugged at Wilbur’s shirt, trying to get him to shut up.

Wilbur turned and smiled at Nancy, urging her to calm down before he turned to look back at Steve.

For a second, Steve was actually a little intimidated by Wilbur’s confidence.

He only regained his bravado a second later, shouting, “How dare you! You’re asking for death, aren’t you?”

Wilbur said calmly, “I might not be the one who dies, you know. The Torrents don’t seem like that much of a big deal.”

Steve’s gaze narrowed. “Insulting the Torrent clan will end in more than just a beating. I can assure you of that.”

“Is that so? Come at me, then,” Wilbur said, unimpressed.

Steve was truly furious now. Things had escalated to another level.

The Torrent clan was one of the three biggest clans in Seechertown and was not to be ridiculed like this.

Steve knew very well what would happen to disrespectful people like Wilbur.

In comparison to what Edward had just done, this was a much bigger deal.

Steve glowered at Wilbur. “You foolish and ignorant piece of shit. I dare you to come with me to see

Mister Torrent.”

Wilbur glanced at his classmates, considering his next move.

It did not seem appropriate for him to get into a fight in front of all these classmates he had just

reconnected with.

However, the problem had to be solved. He did not want to see his classmates get threatened by Steve like this over nothing.

At last, he got to his feet. “Sure. I’ll take a look at Mister Torrent for myself and see if he’s as powerful as he sounds.”

“You’ve got some nerves. Come with me.” Steve gestured at Wilbur, turning to leave.

Wilbur got up, and Nancy pulled at him nervously. “Don’t go. You’ll get into trouble on your own.”

“I’ll be fine. They wouldn’t be able to do anything to me. Carry on with your meal. I’ll be back in a bit.”

After comforting Nancy and the other classmates, Wilbur strode out after Steve.

Steve had pretty much forgotten about Edward, entering the room with Wilbur in tow.

Edward saw this and hurried to say, “We’ll be going now. Bye, guys.”

After that, he left with Cindy at once.

A scapegoat had appeared out of nowhere. It was only natural for him to take the chance to escape.

The classmates saw Edward and Cindy leave and got up one after another to go as well.

They all had families of their own, and no one wanted to get into trouble.

Nancy was the only one left in the room. She thought it through, then gritted her teeth before getting to her feet.

Wilbur was brought to room 8888. Steve pushed the door open, and Wilbur went in after him.

All that could be seen was Will and the rest waiting in the room, staring coldly at the door.

Seeing Wilbur come in on his own, Will frowned. “That’s the guy who hit you?”

Sammy frowned as well. “No, I don’t think so.”
