Love’ss 80
Andrew kissed Madelyn and assured her, "Don't worry. He's not capable of that."
"You shouldn't let your guard down," Madelyn reminded. Andrew chuckled and carried her to the bed.
Before falling asleep, Madelyn asked, "Have you not packed your luggage?"
Amused by her concerns, Andrew chuckled and replied, "Are you trying to be a motherly figure, darling?"
"Stop joking!"
Madelyn squirmed in his embrace, attempting to sit up and help him pack. However, Andrew quickly pressed her head back down.
"Everything is already packed," he said.
"Oh!" Madelyn calmed down.
She was a changed woman. In the past, Andrew's affairs couldn't
have interested her less. Now, she wanted to know every detail of his
life.
Holding her close, Andrew felt greatly satisfied. "Stay away from Easton while I'm gone."
"I never looked for him," Madelyn retorted. Easton was the one who
kept showing up.
"Good girl."
A few days had changed everything. Andrew's lingering doubts had been replaced by a newfound trust in Madelyn. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Andrew woke up at 5:00 am. Although he tried to be as quiet as possible, he still woke Madelyn up.
She looked at him groggily and asked, "Why are you up so early?"
Fully dressed, Andrew sat beside Madelyn and gently touched her face. "Did I wake you up?"
"I'm still so sleepy!"
Madelyn suffered from iron deficiency anemia and required good-quality sleep. If she didn't rest well, she would feel lethargic the next day. Andrew kissed her cheek gently. "You can continue sleeping. I'm heading out.”
"I want to see you off."
It was just a casual remark, as she couldn't get up just yet.
Andrew smiled warmly. "No, I'm afraid you'll follow me to the airport and then to Lotivale."
This time, he couldn't bring Madelyn along. If he could, he wouldn't want to be apart from her even for a moment.
Madelyn grumbled and turned over to continue sleeping.
Andrew felt contented to watch her sleep peacefully. Only those
without worry could sleep so well, and he appreciated seeing her in such a state.
With that, Andrew left.
Madelyn was jolted awake by her phone vibrating, and she answered it groggily. "Hello."
"Are you still sleeping? It's so late!" Carrie sounded both anxious and
resentful.
Madelyn's mind was still foggy, so she was unable to discern the emotions in Carrie's voice. She mumbled, "I'm not like you. I don't have to go to work!" There was a brief silence before Carrie's jealous tone came through. It's great to have someone taking care of you, but you need to get up now."
"Mm?"
"I'm downstairs at your place. Come down quickly. There's an urgent matter I need your help with."

Madelyn felt utterly drained. Even though she and Andrew hadn't done anything last night, they had talked until 2:00 am. She had fallen asleep in a daze, and now it felt incredibly difficult to open her eyes. "What's going on?"
"Just come downstairs first. I'll treat you to breakfast."
"I'll be right there."
After hanging up the phone, Madelyn drifted off to sleep again. Hence, Carrie had to call her once more before she reluctantly got up.
As she descended the stairs, David respectfully said, "Mrs. Miller, you are awake. Would you like breakfast now?"
Madelyn shook her head. "I need to head out. Someone's treating me to breakfast."
"Okay."
David nodded in confusion, wondering who would invite her out for breakfast at such an early hour.
