Chapter 6023, Come With Me Or I’ll Have To Drag You Along

Mo Na Ye broke out a wide smile. Maybe he was reminiscing about the past, maybe he was humoured by the question. Regardless, he was in a good enough mood to state the reason. After all, what could two children do about it?
“What else but to keep hold of a couple of hostages?”
The twins had their eyes narrowed. It was Yang Ji that spoke up this time. “Don’t speak too soon.”
“Oh? And why would that be?” Mo Na Ye instantly asked as he smiled.
Maybe it was a false bravado, maybe it was him being convinced, Yang Ji smiled back. “Can you truly capture us without any consequences?”
Yang Ji pointed at the top, past Mo Na Ye and added. “Aren’t you in the same position as us? You brought us hostages. What’s more, isn’t this whole world our hostage?”
Yang Ji and Yang Xu had heard many things from Little Eleven. It was made clear that the world behind the Profound Source Gate was supposed to be entirely empty. Yet, why was this place now filled with life? If anything, something strange must have happened and the whole world had changed. At the same time, some things remained the same. The scourge of Black Ink Strength was still Purifying Light. The world was still empty, it was now just strangely filled with these structures clearly made of Black Ink Strength.
Though Yang Ji was just fishing for an answer, Mo Na Ye casually admitted to it, even going as far as to shrug his shoulders. “You’re right. I guess you can say that both our hands are tied.”
Yang Ji was naturally taken aback at how calm Mo Na Ye was being. Still, to express his sincerity. Mo Na Ye continued to explain their current circumstances in more detail.
“We really have no wish to be hostile with your kind anymore. Certainly, our world is lacking compared to yours, but it is slowly improving over time. Instead of committing the same mistake as in the past by pillaging, we hope to establish ourselves in this empty land. The people that I brought over are basically our version of mortals without any strength. They are just here to showcase our sincerity.”
Yang Xu and Yang Ji clearly did not buy his words. After all, what kind of sincerity could a kidnapper possibly talk about? They would be fools to fall for such sweet tongued words.
Nevertheless, since there was a show of ‘sincerity’, they might as well use it. Yang Xu stepped forward to ask, “In that case, then why not just let us go?”
Mo Na Ye shook his head as his smile widened. “The Holy One is requesting an audience with you. You are not allowed to refuse his request.”
Yang Ji and Yang Xu immediately got a shiver down their spine. They naturally knew who this ‘Holy One’ was without being explicitly told. It had to be none other than the other part of Uncle Eleven, which had been sealed away behind the Profound Source Gate.
Naturally, it was part of their task to find this other half. However, they were supposed to do it with Uncle Eleven beside them. Not go at it alone.
This was supposed to be a being that was ever close to the World Creation Realm. A being only their Father was able to deal with. Even Little Eleven was not fully confident he would be able to deal with this other half by himself, which was why he normally had others go with him. Yet, this very same being wanted to meet them.
If escape from Mo Na Ye was already difficult, escape from this other half would be impossible.
Yang Xu and Yang Ji naturally wanted to refuse. In fact, Yang Ji and Yang Xu glanced at each other. Without saying a word, they already tightened their grips on the Crystals and a sudden flash of light popped off.
Unfortunately, this move was all too predictable.
Mo Na Ye had acted a moment prior.
With one hand, he reached out. A huge surge of Black Ink Strength soon gushed out. It enveloped the twins, and the Array itself.
Once Purifying Light fired off, this whole layer got scorched off, with Mo Na Ye being able to feel his hand being torched. Nevertheless, this move was enough to prevent further damage to the surroundings.
Once the light dyed down, Yang Ji and Yang Xu were greeted by the sight of nothing changing. Their faces turned grim as they did the same thing again.
Another blast of Purifying Light flashed but it was all too concealed. Once again, resulting in nothing substantial.
Mo Na Ye smirked and added. “It’s no use. Even if you keep trying to do this a million times, the result will be the same. I’d prefer for you two to come along with me willingly, but if I have to drag you there myself, I will do so.”
*Tsk* Yang Ji clicked his tongue, and Yang Xu moved to grab her Brother’s sleeve.
It was silent for a moment before the two tacitly agreed to move along with Mo Na Ye. Certainly, they could have resisted until the very end, but what would that accomplish? Were they going to exhaust everything in their Space Ring at this point in time, where the enemy already prepared any counters to their moves?
They really doubt that they would be able to escape from the ‘Holy One’, considering that they already could not escape from Mo Na Ye. Still, the best thing they could do at the moment was to find a proper opening for them to act upon. If they continued to play along, they could potentially stall for time till someone rescues them.
“Fine. We’ll go along with you. But, we will keep our protective Array up.” Yang Ji said as if this was the final line that could not be crossed.
“Naturally. We mean you no harm.” Mo Na Ye stepped aside and lifted his whole arm to gesture to them to move in that direction.
