Chapter 215
Who the other man was, well, that was crystal clear without needing to spell it out.
Selena could hardly believe his accusation, but she wasn't in the mood to explain anything further; their relationship was just business, plain and simple! A smirk of irony played on her lips.
Everett caught on to her meaning right away. Her thoughts were none of his concern, or more bluntly: none of his damn business! That was fine. Just fine.
Everett locked eyes with her for a good while before nodding. So Selena wanted to play this game of annoying him, huh? Well then, he'd play along to the hilt!
His hand gripped her waist, leaving marks on her soft skin that quickly turned red. He didn't bother checking if Selena was ready for him and just went right ahead.
Selena's face turned a bit pale, a sheen of sweat forming on her forehead, but she only let out a quiet groan, teeth clenched tight, not giving him the satisfaction of a reaction no matter what he did.
During the toughest moments, she just clung to the sheets beneath her, holding on for dear life. After all, this was the worst it could get... It was way better than offering her heart, only to have it stomped on again and again.
When it was finally over, Selena exhaled deeply, her body drenched in sweat as if she'd just climbed out of a pool, making her earlier shower feel like a waste. She tried to push him away to take another shower, but Everett didn't budge. Confused, she opened her eyes to him, her voice raspy as she said, "I need a shower."
Everett was still there, his fingers gently gripping her chin as he grinned. "Mrs. Bennett, don't you know your man by now?"
Even with the lingering scent of lust, his smile was undeniably charming, and his deep voice whispering such flirty words had their effect. Even Selena felt a bit lightheaded.
Everett leaned in again, kissing her deeply, making her head spin. She felt him stirring back to life, and before she knew it, he was moving again.
Deep and shallow, deep and deep...
The whole night through, Selena felt
like a fish on a chopping board, turned over and over, with no break in between. By the end, she was so worn out that she blacked out, slipping into a deep sleep, clueless about when Everett finally stopped.
When Selena came to the next day, it was already late morning. Her waist and legs ached something fierce. She dragged herself to the bathroom for a hot soak, just to ease the soreness a bit. She headed downstairs and found Everett sitting at the head of the dining table, all dressed up and eating with such elegance. It was like last night's wild side was just a figment of her imagination! Selena rolled her eyes internally, pulled out a chair, and sat down. She called over to Ava, "Ava, could you bring me a big bowl of rice pudding?"
Usually, she'd watch her carbs to keep her figure in check. But after last night's marathon, she was starving, and only a hearty serving of rice pudding would do the trick Plus, without some energy, how else would she keep up with that beast?
Dieting could take a back seat for now!
Hearing this, Everett glanced her way. Even though he liked Selena's figure as it was-slim with curves in all the right places-he wouldn't mind if she filled out a bit more. A little extra weight would be nice to hold. Most men weren't keen on a stick-thin frame; no one wanted to cuddle up to a bag of bones. A slightly fuller figure would be just right. So he didn't mind at all.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Ava sighed and brought over a
hearty bowl of rice pudding. She noticed the obvious marks on Selena's neck trailing down beneath her clothes and remembered how the master bedroom light stayed on almost all night. She had a pretty good idea of what went down, leaving her with mixed feelings.
