Bailey's pov
"I don't know what you're talking about," I repeated, trying to pull away from him again. But Kaleb's grip only tightened.
"Don't lie to me, Bailey," he growled, pulling me closer to him. "I know what we did last night. And I know you liked it just as much as I did."
I could feel my body trembling under his touch, my mind racing with both fear and desire. I didn't want to admit it, but he was right. I had enjoyed it - maybe even more than I should have.
He searches my eyes, making my heart race even more.
"There you two are," Mira huffed making me leap away from Kaleb like he had just set me on fire.
With a heart that pounded in my chest, I cleared my throat and looked over at Mira.
The smile on her face slowly disappear as she looked at both Kaleb and me. Lines soon paint between her brows.
"What's going on here?" She questioned suspiciously.
I bit my tongue, my heart continuing to race. I didn't think I was very good at hiding my current dilemma.
But thankfully, Kaleb surprisingly stepped up and saved me.
Well the both of us. Because if Mira knew what we had done last night, she'd kill him too.
"Nothing, Mira," he said smoothly.
"Bailey and I were just talking."
Mira's eyes flickered between us, eyes narrowing. I could feel her suspicion growing. She knew her brother better than anyone, and I could tell she didn't fully believe him.
But then she thankfully decided to give up her full on investigation mode and shrugged. "Whatever. Come downstairs and help Bails, I can't do this shit on my own." She whined as she turned around to walk back down those stairs.
Seeing this as the best opportunity to practically run away from Kaleb, I nodded quickly and got ready to make a beeline to her.
But fingers grasp around the bone of my wrist, holding me firmly and making me shudder inwardly.
I avoid his gaze.
"Release me Sam." I uttered the name he loathed to get on his irritated side.
But it didn't work.
He only gripped me harder, took a step forward until his chest brushed against my shoulder. "We'll finish this later,"
His voice held a heavy promise. And was that desire in his tone?
I shivered, biting into my lip harder.
He releases me, finally allowing me to move away from him and get my breathing back under control.
I don't bother answering, just walked away from him quickly as if the fire of hell was whipping against the heels of my feet.

About fifteen to eighteen minutes later, the house was finally spotless clean. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
Mrs. Reece and her husband decided to release us of our duties and feed us some breakfast.
Of course when I was done, I told them I'd head on home. I had a feeling Mrs. Reece called my mom and dad. And I knew that once I got home, I would have to face their wrath too.
"I'll drop you off." Kaleb stated, shocking everyone in the room.
It was no secret that Kaleb and I didn't quite get along. In fact, we argued just as bad as he and Mira went down each other throats.
So it obviously came to a shock to everyone including me, that he offered to take me home.
I shook my head quickly. Kaleb and I in the same car, alone....not a good idea.
"No thanks, I'll take the bus."
His jaw clenched and God forbid, something stirred in my core.
"I will drop you off Bailey." His voice oozed dominance. The same as last night.
I shivered, biting into my lip.
I could see Mira shifting her gaze between the two of us. She was probably wondering what the hell was going on.
Thankfully Mr. Reece saved me.
"Where do you think you're going son? You're grounded. The only place you will go is to school."
Mira pushed her tongue out in a mocking manner toward Kaleb who glared back at her.
"You too Mira." Her father added making her lose her taunting behaviour in a matter of a second.
"But dad," She began to whine.
He shook his head. "No buts. Even though Kaleb was the one who threw the party, you were still part of it. You both are grounded."
Mira pouted, peering at her mother, silently begging her for help. Mrs. Reece ignored her.
"Kaleb you're grounded for a week, that means no going out late and no girls over."
Mr. Reece's words slammed in my head reminding of who Kaleb actually was.
My skin itch as I realize I had easily fallen into his charms last night just like all the other girls.
"Dad I have football practice. Coach will not like me missing out on a day." Kaleb grumbled, lounging back in displeasure.
Both Mira and I looked at each other in confusion. Usually when they threatened Kaleb to not bring girls over, he'd throw a huge tantrum like a kid who got his candy stolen.
But now.....he didn't acknowledge it.
Strange.
Mr. Reece scratched his chin thoughtfully. "Fine. You can head on to football practice but you must be home early. I'll be timing you." His eyes narrowed on his son who grinned in triumph.
Kaleb was not only the best quarterback, but was the best manipulator around here. The guy could not only get any girl he wants...but everything he desired.
Spoilt brat.
"Oh that's so not fair! How does he get to still live his life!? If it was me you'd lock me in my room for an entire month." Mira scowled, her face screwing up in frustration.
Kaleb throws a thumbs up for his father, completely ignoring Mira's outburst while grinning from ear to ear.
He suddenly turned his attention to me and still wore that stunning grin while his eyes peered into mine intensely.
I rip mine away, my pulse racing.
"Come on Bailey, I'll drop you off so you can get ready for school." Mr. Reece said, saving me yet again. I nod quickly, standing up and telling everyone goodbye.
