Chapter 513 Helpless
Chapter 513 Helpless
Mr. Hamilton's eyes swept over several people with a grim face, and nodded to Edward.
After years of getting along with each other, the tacit understanding between Edward and Mr. Hamilton
made Edward understood Mr. Hamilton’s intention immediately.
Edward waved at those who were standing up. "You guys come with me."
Those people shivered unconsciously with fear, but they still followed Edward towards a hidden room.
Mr. Hamilton took a little breath and went to his study. Suddenly, as if something occurred to him, his
face suddenly changed.
But after a second thought, he thought it was impossible. He waited for Edward for a while patiently
before he came out.
Mr. Hamilton looked at Edward with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. Edward shook his head calmly, "It
cannot be them."
Since these people had served the family throughout their lifetime, he was reluctant to suspect them.
But this was a big deal. His reaction gave him a slight relief. However, Mr. Hamilton got tense again
soon after.
He did not want to doubt those men working for his family, much less did he want to suspect his own
family members. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
It was just...
"Let someone check the Pine garden to see what's been Mr. Hamilton there today." Mr. Hamilton said
with his solemn face. It sounded like he was about to lose his temper.
Edward was stunned by his words, was Mr. Hamilton suspicious of Vivian?
But today other than the cleaning people, it was only Vivian who went into Mr. Hamilton’s study.
Then he suddenly recalled that she did have come into the front hall for the second time in the
afternoon, and it seemed that she was looking around for some reason. At that time, he thought she
just came back from the guest room. But what if she did something in the front hall?
"Are you suspecting Vivian?" "He asked with a confirmed tone.
Mr. Hamilton’s face blackened, and there was a bit of coldness in his eyes which resembled William’s.
"Anyone can be suspected."
Edward paused, "But Vivian hasn’t been out all day long. She only talked with Miss Angie in the guest
room. If this is really stolen by Vivian, then that thing should still be here, I could ask someone to
check."
Edward meant to search Vivian’s room.
But it was Mr. Hamilton who personally invited her to come back, searching her room right now was not
only the disrespect for William, but also a slap in Mr. Hamilton’s face.
Mr. Hamilton hesitated and slightly inclined his head.
Edward thought about yesterday, as Vivian just went to Angie and made a scene with her. And today
she was threatened by Mr. Hamilton. Even if she did do something bad, it could be understood.
Edward worried this could be true. So he went to the Green Pine Garden with some people in a grim
face.
At night, Roe held a small pillow and went to Vivian’s room to sleep. William knew Daniel was in J city,
so he went out to investigate him.
Vivian finally could enjoy Roe’s company.
“Mom, you haven't read me anything for a long time.” Roe’s little chubby arms held Vivian, with
dissatisfaction in his face. Vivian paused. Yes, it was true.
After she found out she was pregnant, she had been resting a lot. Apart from that, she was always
depressed by her problems with William. She felt she did owe Roe a lot.
She opened the story book in her hand only to find the book was written in both Chinese and English
language, and the Lu's family collection of book was marvelous indeed.
"This story is about..."
"Vivian, the housekeeper Edward is here." Vivian was interrupted by a knock on the door outside.
Vivian was surprised. Why Edward come here now? Vivian opened the door in doubt.
"Sorry, Miss Vivian. Sorry to disturb your sleep. Mr. Hamilton worried those insects in your room, so he
asked someone to come over to clean the room." Edward uttered a reason that sounded not that true
with a hidden tone that everyone understood. Vivian slightly frowned upon that strange reason and
said,
"Uncle Edward, we don’t need cleaning in a hurry and it is so late......"
"Vivian, please be relaxed. They won't take you too much time. These persons are very quick." Edward
wore a faint smile on his face, but his smile did not look very authentic.
Vivian seemed understand his intension: Mr. Hamilton was trying to rummage through the pine garden.
He lost something, so he doubted her?
It was ridiculous!
She went up, took Roe in her arms, and headed toward the living room downstairs, waiting for Edward
to finish the search.
Vivian affirmed that there was nothing and their searching team would get nothing.
But half an hour later, Edward threw a file bag in front of her with a serious face. She felt she was
hopeless.
The whole room was silent. People looked at each other in shock and looked into Vivian with indifferent
eyes.
Vivian's face turned pale and two sentences occurred to her.
One was said by Daniel at the beginning and another was said by Angie yesterday.
Everyone knew the importance of Mr. Hamilton's study, as he was an elder statesman. Everyone knew
the importance of the documents he read, and everyone knew the potential turmoil his loss could
cause.
"Edward, I really don’t know where does it come from, I haven't seen it before, I..." Vivian explained it
anxiously, knowing that this explanation might not work.
Edward set his face, "Sorry, Vivian, you might need to talk to Mr. Hamilton." Edward wore a stern face,
with no kindness at all.
Vivian felt helplessness.
"Mom, are you going to talk to great grandpa?" Roe asked her rubbing his eyes. Vivian did not answer,
just bent over and kissed Roe on his cheek.
Edward adjusted his expression quickly and said, "Little master are sleepy? I let an aunt read you to
sleep. Kids can grow tall if sleeping early and getting up early."
Roe stared at Vivian worriedly. He was still waiting for Vivian’s answer.
In a terrible mood, she was uncertain about her future, not knowing what would happen in the face of
Mr. Hamilton.
After all, they thought they caught me with the missing files.
Vivian faked a smiled, and leaned over to hug Roe, "Roe, mom will come back later. You go sleep first
and warm my bed for me, OK?"
Roe nodded and kissed her back.
Vivian gave a sigh of relief and left with Edward.
Roe watched those people leave, tears swirling in his eyes.
"Little master, it's time to sleep." A servant came forward told him.
Roe shook his head, "I can sleep by myself."
Without waiting for her to react, he walked towards the room.
After closing the door of his room, Roe quickly rumbled out Vivian’s mobile phone. Roe swiped up the
phone to dial a number.
Before the call was through, the little boy was so anxious that he cried out to the other end, "Daddy,
something bad happened to mom." William was at the other end, and his face changed suddenly.
