Sweet Subterfuge

Chapter 992

Chapter 992

“When’s the wedding?” Gary suddenly asked.

Kevan froze for two seconds before he finally realized what Gary was asking. Then, a wave of crazy joy rose up in Kevan.

“It’s not decided yet.” Kevan did his best to stop himself from smiling as he replied calmly, “I need to see what Larl would say.”

“Since you’re already back together, it’s better if the wedding comes fast. My daughter can’t possibly just follow you without anything to her name!!

Gary was still unhappy with Kevan, but the asshole had already stolen Larissa away.

No one could stop him now.

Kevan wanted to have the wedding quickly too to prevent himself from having nightmares about L

But now Larissa was busy establishing a Blue Star branch in Bartham, and she did not care about anything else.

“Uncle Gary, this is a gift.” Kevan took out a document from his briefcase and handed it to Gary.

Gary’s eyes narrowed as he looked at it carefully-

“A property deed?” he exclaimed in surprise.

Kevan was giving him the whole building where Bartham’s branch of Blue Star was.

“Although Blue Star is only using two floors, you will surely expand once you’ve moved your headquarters over there.

“Microworks has a few departments in this building. When you accept this deed, I will transfer the monthly rent into your bank account.”

A whole building in the heart of Bartham was definitely not cheap. Gary was a little conflicted. He did not know if he should accept the

deed or not.

If he accepted it it seemed that he was taking advantage of Kevan.

If he did not accept though —

Well he could not just give his daughter away to the Rogers family for “free“.

“I don’t want your gift” Gary found a middle ground after thinking about IL “It’s the same il you give it to Larl”

What was Kevan’s was Larissa’s anyway.

Giving the deed to Larissa meant that he could do away with the more complicated transfer procedures.

Kevan was silent for a moment. “Alright then.” He put the deed away. “Once I’m back in Bartham, I will transfer the deed to Larl’s name.” He stood up and dipped his head respectfully at Gary. “I’m sorry, Uncle Gary. And thank you.”

Kevan was sorry for “stealing” Gary’s precious daughter, and he was also grateful that Gary was willing to let him marry his precious

daughter.

Gary waved a hand irritably. “Yes, whatever! Don’t start all this with me! Do you have anything else? If not, hurry up and leave!

“I don’t really want to see you anyway! Once you’ve decided on your wedding dale, tell Lari to call me in person!”

Kevan wisely chose to leave. He said goodbye to both Gary and Lewis before leaving the Logan villa.

After Kevan was gone, Gary slumped into the couch. “He still won,” he said with a sigh.

“This isn’t a war. What’s there to win or lose about?” Lewis helped pour him a full cup of tea before he advised the man. “As long as Lari Is happy, this is the best ending we can have.”

“That’s true.” Gary picked up the cup of tea before sipping it. The laste of the tea spread over his longue, and his heart felt a little bitter.”

But I still feel terrible.”

He only managed to find his real daughter at such an old age, and he had not yet enjoyed their father– daughter bond before she was

stolen from him.

Hearing this, Gary glared at Lewis and shouted. “You better hurry up and lind me a damned nlece–in– law! How old are you already? And you’re stil fooling around! You’re seriously going to piss me off until I die!”

Lewis regretted it very much. He should not have said that!RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Kevan did not stay long in Westonia.

He booked a fight back to Bartham that would leave at night, and so when he got back, it was already midnight in Bartham.

He did not inform Larissa, and it was Dylan who drove to the airport to pick him up.

Seeing that Kevan looked refreshed, Dylan knew that the outcome was not bad.

“All done?” he asked.
