Sweet Wife in Hidden Marriage

Chapter 51 I Will Protect You

Chapter 51 I Will Protect You

Dawson was sitting in the armchair, holding the handle of the ceramic cup, which probably contained tea that would make him admire.

Seeing Lillian come in, Dawson hurriedly waved hands at her and said, “Come here, Lillian. Archibald brought some fancy tea, have a try.”

Lillian took a squint at Archibald when squeezing her lip. She was wondering whether he invited her simply for a cup of tea.

“What are you doing? Come and sit here!” Noticing Lillian remain still, Dawson urged.

After Lillian sitting down, Dawson made her a cup of tea in person, “Try it.”

Lillian knew that Dawson was fond of drinking tea and it probably accounted for why he was so delighted today. She couldn’t help glancing Archibald and thought he was really good at roping in others!

Lillian took a sip and Dawson immediately asked her whether it tasted good. She was not a tea-lover and only thought it smelled good. Hence, she nodded to show politeness, “It tastes good.”

Someone came in the room to look for Dawson. He stood up and said to them with a smile, “I’m sorry. There’s something I need to handle. Never mind, nobody will come to this room to bother you.”

“Okay.” Archibald finally said something.

Dawson’s gaze as well as his words of saying no one would bother made Lillian suddenly realized Dawson must know her rumours with Archibald and treated her as Archibald’s girlfriend.

Dawson’s behaviour made her really upset because it seemed that all advantages she got were related with Archibald. However, this was the truth, which made her even more upset.

“Lillian, I told you to wait for me after yesterday’s show and I would drive you home. Why did you leave without waiting for me?” Archibald asked when trying to sit close to her. It seemed that they were really in a relationship.

Lillian frowned when hearing his words. Since that night, Archibald began to call her nickname and tried to show they were close, which kept reminding her of what happened on that night.

She stood up and went beside the window when staring outside, “Archibald, I want to meet Benedict.”

Archibald also walked beside her and asked when looking her from above, “Why?”

Lillian looked at him in the eyes and said angrily, “Because it was him who gave the wine and it must be him who put medicine in it.” Now she thought Benedict was only lying to her by apologizing. It could tell from his appearance that he was the type of person who looked to do filthy things.

She also clearly remembered that he appeared when she was going to fail to the swimming pool. Although she couldn’t remember what happened next, she could be sure that the men Benedict called wanted to ruin her, which made her scared even by recalling it.

Archibald put both of his hands to the pocket and looked out of the window when squinting his dark eyes, “You don’t have to meet him. I have already investigated this thing and found the wine he gave you was nothing wrong. It was the fruit wine which was added in medicine.”

“That glass of fruit wine?” Lillian was confused because she didn’t know who called to waiter to send her that glass of fruit wine.

“Have you figured out who sent that wine?” She continued to ask.

Archibald looked at her mysteriously. He curled up his lip and reached out his hand to squeeze her cheek, “You don’t have to worry about this thing. I will help you figure it out and nobody can harm you

from now on.” Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Lillian was afraid of his dark and deep eyes, which made her heart pounding unsteadily. She hurriedly shook off his hand and yelled in anger, “Archibald, can you stop minding my business?”

“You are my girl. Why can’t I care about you?”

Lillian was angry and stressed in a large voice, “I am not your girl! I am not!”

Archibald frowned and turned his back at her. His eyes, which was as deep as obsidian, sharp and dangerous. Lillian kept stepping back when he was walking towards her.

Within a short time, she was pushed against the wall, yelling, “Archibald, what are you doing? Stop!” She was anxious because she knew she was unable to fight with him.

Archibald easily trapped her by reaching out his long arms around her. He looked down at her and they were too close to feel each other’s breath.

“Lillian, are you trying to draw a line between us? We already had sex on that night.” Archibald moved closer to her after saying this and trapped her between himself and the wall.

Lillian suddenly felt she was hard to breath under the intense atmosphere. She tilted her head and continued to deny what happened, “It was only an accident. We are both adults and can treat that night as an incident.”

“An incident?” Archibald made her looked at him in the eyes and stared at her coldly, “If that was an incident, why did you hugged me happily when knowing it was me?” He suddenly put his hands inside her clothes and slowly moved upwards. He opened his palm and sneezed her left breast.

“Lillian! Are you sure that I mean nothing to you?” His voice was full of anger.

Lillian didn’t know how to react and couldn’t stop trembling when feeling the hand was touching her gently. She lowered her eyes and didn’t dare look at him.

“I am just glad that you are not one of those ruffians. You are much better than them.”

Archibald was irritated by her words and all the cold light inside his eyes shrink to the darkest point, like leaping fire. How could Lillian compare her with those men? How could she despise him? He was too angry to breath and increased his strength. What a terrible woman! She could always find a way to smash his good manner!

“Lillian, things already happen and there’s nothing wrong for us to be together.” He tried to make her accept the destiny.

Lillian was dumbfounded and stared at his dark eyes. There was a moment that she wanted to agree with him, however, her conscious mind stopped her immediately.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and answered, “Archibald, I have already told you it was an accident. Let’s forget about what happened and go back on our own life track. Okay?”

“No!” Archibald suddenly interrupted her. He lowered his head, touched her with his cheek, and answered when breathing beside her ears, “Lillian, we have just started the relationship. How could you try to end it?” His voice was fascinating like a bottle of bewildered wine.
