Scandal: Mr. Knight accidentally destroyed it yesterday
“Mrs. President, please, please open the presidential elevator for me.”
Kuwain pleading message with teeth emoji mocking Jhonia by calling her Mrs. President.
“Okay.” Jhonia respond to him, looking pass the fact that he called her Mrs. President. She then contact the security department asking for the president elevator to open for her.
Kuwain heard the ding and look up at the elevator that is opening, his eyes open wide as he put one foot in then slide in the other standing up straight putting his hands in his packet like a boss. Employees giggled at him.
While Jhonia was going up from the computer department for some reason the elevator stopped on the model floor. She didn’t see anyone, so she stepped out and looked down on both sides of the hall but still saw no one.
“Weird.” Jhonia confessed and got back on the elevator and pressed on to the present floor going up without any more obstacle.
She got up and the elevator open she took a deep breath before she step off the elevator everyone except Emmari began clapping upon seeing Jhonia. Kyhe heard the appeasement and off screen seeing Jhonia he got up and stormed out of his office, and down grabbing Jhonia arm.
Surprising her as he pulls her to his elevator which open. He grabbed Kuwain pulling him off and pushed Jhonia inside. Step further up to her while she steps the door closed! He bangs both hands on both sides blocking Jhonia in.
“When were you going to tell me? Now, you’re winning over each unit inside this company?” Kyhe asked her, staring into her eyes. Just then he remembers that Kuwain came up in his elevator he narrows his eyebrows in question.
“Huh?” Jhonia question bring him back to the presence when he excuses himself from her and stand away from her.
“When did you plan to tell me your married?” Kyhe ask her, not looking at her. Jhonia was silent!
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Kyhe asked yelling at Jhonia didn’t even flinch and he became curious as to why?
…
“Why are you telling me this?” Jhonia asked, looking up at Mrs. Pinnock.
“This Kyhe has played a role in this your life before, he spends the entire night looking for you even after I told him your leave the ballroom. He must have assumed that you went for fresh air. That night when you were in such a rush to the third door, the person you encountered and kissed was him. I overheard his friend saying something about it being his first kiss. Jhonia, if he found that you’re that woman. My son no longer stands a chance but knowing you, you won’t tell him. But at least let him know he still has a chance with you because the man that send you home that night, clearly, he wouldn’t have done that if he didn’t care deeply about you. Now, he must be very angry because you kept this from him and if you don’t believe me if he questions you about it, don’t answer and see how many times after he repeated the question. Stop waiting on my son dear, he’s not going change.” Mrs. Pinnock words before she left the hospital and went home where she lay down in bed.
“Jhonia! Did you ever plan to tell me?” Kyhe asked her again, after yelling her name.
“Three times, three different ways.” Jhonia responded, turning her head, looking at him. Kyhe stared at her!
“What?” He questioned looking at her.
“Three times, three different ways. You ask the same question but why is it so important?” Jhonia repeatedly reminded him and asked him. Kyhe looked at her confused about what she said and asked him that.
“Don’t pretend to know what I’m talking about. For someone who always mentioned his family, me being married shouldn’t bother you if it does. But does it?” Jhonia said, reminding him how many times he has used the word family and so why her marriage shouldn’t be a shock, she asked him out of curiosity.
“Does what?” Kyhe asked, turning to her with both hands in his pocket!
“Me being married. Does it bother you?”
Jhonia asked? Hoping he would say yes so, she could tell him she was the one he kissed that night.
“No, it doesn’t. But as your boss, Jhonia you should have told me.” Kyhe said, his voice was calm and steady which made Jhonia believe him, because there was not a single skip or crack in his voice when he spoke.
“Mmm. I should have but even so it’s none of your concerns to whom I’m wedded. I didn’t know you two were rivals regardless this shouldn’t affect us- it shouldn’t affect our personal workspace.” Jhonia agree with what he said but she was somewhat disappointed with his respond. She said cutting herself and added. Kyhe noticed and met her eyes.
“It should!” Kyhe said to her.
“What?” Jhonia asks, meeting his gaze. Kyhe clinched his teeth’s together before he released them stepping in front of her.
“It should concern me, I’m your boss. How can you be working for me while waking up next to him who the hell knows-”
“I am not sleeping with him!” Jhonia cut him off and started surprising him. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
. Why did she tell me that?. Kyhe thought.
. Why would I say that to him, way to not let him know he still has a chance. Am I desperate to be loved? Jhonia thought.
The two stares at each other in silence.
“Ahem. Moreover, the day I had a dispute with Emmari. I told her who I was and that I was married, knowing how she has the hots for you, she would have told you already. However, the matter of me being married doesn’t concern you.” Jhonia explained to him that Emmari knows about her being married.
“I heard Secretary Smith is married! Mr. Knight you seem as if you didn’t know.” Kyhe remembers how she said and acted she too has just found out! Kyhe pressed the elevator button, and it began going back up!
“Hence, the choice is yours Secretary Smith. You can choose whether you stay or leave. Now, I have to pretend like I knew about your marriage for the image of being your boss. I hope it was worth keeping to yourself. After the elevator goes down, if you return, I will consider your staying and if not then it was a great having you here at Sky.” Kyhe said telling her to choose, telling her why he must act like he knew about it, yet not forgetting to tell he appreciate her being a part of Sky that is if she decided to leave. Jhonia sees herself squatting down crying and telling him everything and being comforted by him.
“The news is not telling the truth, or they are, they just turned it around. Thought you would have recognized I’m not that kind of person, yet you told me I was someone you could trust at least now, I know why I didn’t believe it when you said it.” Jhonia said to him, taking it off her chest. But she held her ground flooding her arms and using her thumb nail to sink into her arms rejecting the pain of disappointment with the pain of self-hurt before she said to him with a smile.
“How can i now trust you when you’re the wife of someone I hate so much, someone I could kill.” Kyhe said to her.
. And for you! How can I trust you when you sleep with him at night, and smile with me in the morning? You heartless and cold woman, so much worse than Ice-Queen. Kyhe thought.
Jhonia sank her nails deeper into her arms as if she could hear his thoughts. Kyhe got off the elevator and closed the door sending her down, Jhonia took her coat from her arm and put it on to hide the wound she gave herself. She got off the elevator which Kyhe was waiting to see return but it didn’t. He sighed, looked down before he turned around and went to his office. Jhonia met Lusinly while she was going to take the employee elevator.
“Did he fire you?” She asked.
“No.” Jhonia responded!
“Are you leaving? Because if you are, you can’t!” Lu asked then started to Jhonia.
“And why is that?” Jhonia asked.
“You will have to resign the contract and you can’t do that because Mr. Knight accidentally destroyed it yesterday. If you leave the company, he must pay five million dollars to you or call you back. If you want to leave you will have to pay twice what he must pay to you.” Lu explained to Jhonia a law Kyhe created but later regretted it. Jhonia giggled as they got on the elevator.
. So, he had a plan up his sleeve no wonder he said and did what he did! Almost fooled me. Almost. Jhonia thought.
