Chapter 654
Chapter 654
"Mrs. Jones, I even bought some fruits for you. These white roses are for Hera. Let me help you arrange them," Thiago said with a grin. He did not even give Hera a chance to object.
"You didn't need to bring anything for your visit." Catherine was amused by Thiago. "It just so happened that Hera has prepared so much. Since we can't finish it all, you should stay for dinner."
Thiago chuckled. "I'll stay for dinner, then. If there's anything I can help you with, I'm at your service."
Hera silently put the tomatoes aside. After washing her hands, she took out more flour for the homemade pasta. Although Thiago was tall and thin, he had an extremely good appetite.
"I want to stay for dinner too!" Nicholas' loud voice suddenly drifted from the living room. He came running in, causing the fruits in his basket to tumble around.
"Is there a dog chasing you or something? Why are you running so fast?" After asking, Hera saw Tyler entering with another fruit basket.
"Hey, who are you calling a dog?" Tyler asked in a chilling tone.
Hera was speechless. It was purely by accident.
"Well, she's right!" Nicholas gloated.
Just as Nicholas arrived downstairs, he happened to notice Tyler parking his car. Thus, Nicholas hurriedly parked his car as he wanted to go upstairs before Tyler did.
Tyler noticed Hera was wearing an apron. "Are you preparing dinner? If you prepare my share as well, I'll let your insult slide."
Hera was rendered speechless. Why was everyone here for dinner? She didn't even have enough ingredients.
However, she still silently headed to the kitchen and took out more flour to prepare more handmade pasta. Just as she did, she heard Tyler shamelessly making requests.
"I want some ravioli with bacon bits. Don't even think of preparing instant noodles for me!"
Hearing that made Nicholas also make a request of his own, "I want some fried shrimp and lamb stew."
The vein on Hera's forehead began to throb.
"Hey, don't go overboard!" Thiago objected. "Hera is preparing dinner for me and not for any of you. You should ask Mrs. Jones whether you can even stay for dinner!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly added, "I say no on behalf of Mrs. Jones!"
Catherine was amused by Thiago's remarks. It was rare for her home to be so lively. In fact, she was quite joyful to see all of Hera's friends. Catherine's gloomy mood due to the earlier incident at the police station faded away.
"All of you can stay for dinner." With that, Catherine turned to Wayne and said, "We don't have enough ingredients. Could you go downstairs and buy more, Wayne?"All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
Thiago was speechless. Meanwhile, Wayne hummed in response before leaving to buy more groceries.
"Thanks, Mrs. Jones," Nicholas said playfully after hearing her answer. Noticing the potatoes on the counter, he obediently asked, "Mrs. Jones, do these need peeling? Let me help you."
"That's my task!" Seeing that his task was about to be taken over, Thiago returned to the kitchen.
Since Nicholas and Thiago were working hard to help, Tyler decided to join their efforts in winning over Catherine.
As far as Tyler knew, Bernard seemed to be quite good at cooking. Thus, Tyler refused to fall behind. "I'll help chop some vegetables."
"Sure, sure." Catherine happily passed him some vegetables.
Seeing how happy Catherine was, Hera decided to let them be.
But ten minutes later, Hera saw that the kitchen was a complete mess. The potatoes were poorly peeled, the vegetables were strewn everywhere on the counter, and the spices were scattered on the table.
Hera, who usually managed her emotions well, couldn't help but feel infuriated. "You have ten seconds. Get out of the kitchen!"
Thiago, Nicholas, and Tyler exchanged glances. Thiago was the first to leave.
