Unrivaled Dragon Lord

Chapter 89 When Did I Become Her Husband?

Chapter 89 When Did I Become Her Husband?

In the president's office, Greta had taken off her high-heeled shoes and stood in front of the French

window with bare feet, looking at the CBD in the distance, with mix feelings in her beautiful eyes.

She wrapped her arms around her chest. No one could have imagined that the famous CEO of the

Ocean City would feel so lost.

Behind Greta, Harriet leaned on the desk and sighed, "You are softer inside your heart than you look

outside."

"You like him, but you always pretend to hate him. See, he has been hooked with by another woman."

Harriet sighed as she looked at one photo after another.

"Is it my fault that he flirted with other women?" Greta grunted coldly and discontentedly.

"You've been married to him for months. How many times has he slept with you? Even if he were your

nominal husband, you can't neglect him like this," signed Harriet. "At least, Greta, he's been kind to

you. He's not You-Know-Who who has saved you from multiple crises, but he's been responsible."

"Why the differences between them are so big?" Greta sighed.

"You don't even know who You-Know-Who is, and you don't even know if it's a man or a woman," said

Harry. Harriet could not help laughing.

"I don't care. You know Maxwell. He will hide up whenever there is a crisis," Greta complained. "Even if

he was in the limelight at the auction, it was because you gave him money. He has no skill, but a

competent servant."

"Well, think it over for yourself." Harriet shook her head with a wry smile, put down the photo and

walked out of the office.

In the villa, Maxwell was doing housework when his mobile phone rang suddenly.

Maxwell was excited as he thought it was from Greta, and immediately answered the phone.

But when Harriet's voice sounded, he was slightly disappointed.

"Harriet, can I help you?" Maxwell asked.

"No. I just want to see how you and Greta are doing and if there's anything I can help," Harriet said.

Maxwell was delighted and said, "Harriet, please persuade Greta? I will admit my fault."

"You want me to help you?" Harriet asked, "Yes, but you have to give me a favor tonight."

"No problem!" Maxwell didn't even know what Harriet wanted, and agreed without hesitation.

"You don't even know what I am going to ask you for." Harriet was stunned when Maxwell agreed

"My wife is most important. As long as my wife is happy, I will do whatever I can," Maxwell said firmly.

"She's been so cold to you, but you still love her so much," Harriet sighed. "Put on a suit tonight, and I'll

pick you up. I will take you to a party."

"Party? No problem." After hanging up the phone and finishing the housework, Maxwell took a straight

suit out of his closet.

He changed his dirty white shirt and dressed himself before he went out.

At six o'clock in the evening, a BMW came on time and stopped at the gate of the luxury house.

Maxwell walked out the door. The car window was rolled down to reveal Harriet's charming face.

"You..." Harriet looked at Maxwell, and surprise flashed by her beautiful eyes because Maxwell had

changed too much!

With a dark blue suit and had his beard shaven, Maxwell at this moment was totally different from the

one he used to be.

"Oh my God, are you really Maxwell?" Harriet took off her sunglasses in disbelief and looked at

Maxwell closely.

"How do I look?" Maxwell smiled. At this moment, Maxwell was full of manly charm, and even his tone

became very gentle.

"Very well, I'm afraid I have fallen in love with you." She was taken aback by Maxwell's look. She didn't

expect that Maxwell would be so handsome.

For those who didn't know him, they would think Maxwell was charming and confident and would

definitely mistake him for someone with successful life!

"Get in the car." Harriet pulled open the door and Maxwell got into the passenger seat.

"Why should I go with you to the party?" asked Maxwell.

"I am going to my high school dinner party, just take you as a shield," explained Harriet.

"Well, that's easy to muddle through." Maxwell said nonchalantly.

"Many of my high school classmates are already successful persons," Harriet said with a smile. "Some

of them are already the heads of Fortune 500 companies overseas."

Maxwell nodded, looking calm, as if the Fortune 500 didn't surprise him too much.

Harriet gave Maxwell a curious look. "You're not surprised?"

"What does it matter to me if they are the heads of Fortune 500 companies?" Maxwell shrugged.

In fact, Harriet didn't know that HAL's company had long dwarfed the Fortune 500, but in Maxwell's

eyes, it was nothing worth mentioning.

Maxwell's eyes were deep and calm. Whether it was a Fortune 500 company or not, there was no

difference.

Half an hour later, the BMW pulled up in front of the Shangri-La Hotel.

Harriet parked her car and walked into the hotel with Maxwell.

The hotel was of high standard, with a presidential suite on the top floor, and a huge diamond

chandelier in the ballroom, which illuminated the whole hall.

Stepping on the soft blanket, Maxwell's demeanor changed. His humble look had disappeared and at

the moment, there was a sense of strangeness in every gesture and smile of Maxwell, and he seemed

to be a charming gentleman.

Harriet could not help but look at Maxwell a few more times. Her beautiful eyes were full of surprise.

She had never thought that Maxwell would be so graceful.

In the banquet hall, there were many guests, toasting to each other, and talking and laughing

discussing the topics of their own interest.

It was no difference from the upper class. Everyone here was a bigwig.

"Harriet?"

As Maxwell and Harriet entered the dining room, a middle-aged man came quickly up and called in

surprise.

"Yes, it's me." Harriet smiled.

"I haven't seen you for a long time. I did not expect that you would come to the classmate party as well.

I can hardly recognize you," The middle-aged man smiled enthusiastically.

"Me, too. We've changed so much these years."

Harriet replied with a gentle smile.

They soon fell into conversation, and Maxwell looked around for something interesting. Suddenly he

caught something and his eyes lit up. He went to the refreshment table and began to eat and drink

without ceremony.

After a while, Harriet came behind him and asked, "How's it, delicious?"

"It tastes just fine." Maxwell licked his lips.

Harriet felt speechless Shangri-La Hotel was a five-star hotel. The dim sum was very delicate and

delicious.

But Maxwell thought it was just fine.

"Don't get too full. There will be many delicacies waiting for you," Harriet said.

"What?" A deep smile flashed by Maxwell's eyes.

What kind of delicious food he hadn't eaten? Abalone, lobster, trepang. When he was overseas, he

took his friends on a fishing fleet to the deep sea and tried everything they had caught.

Maxwell had already gotten fed up with the pricey ingredients that were found on many hotel tables.

Instead, it was the delicate dim sum that made Maxwell think delicious.

There were too many guests in the banquet hall. Harriet chatted with her previous classmates, while

Maxwell ate and drank freely.

Harriet wondered if the other end of Maxwell's belly was connected to a black hole.

All of a sudden, a middle-aged man with a fat belly walked quickly towards Harriet. Harriet frowned as

she saw the middle-aged man, as if she hated the fat man.

"Help me." Harriet tugged at Maxwell's clothes.

The middle-aged man was about to approach Harriet when suddenly a figure appeared between him

and Harriet.

"Who are you! Get the hell out of here!" The middle-aged man was ferocious and fierce!

As he said this, the middle-aged man gave Maxwell a hard push!

But the middle-aged man was stunned as he was pushing Maxwell away.

No matter how hard he pushed away Maxwell, Maxwell stood motionless, as though his feet were

glued to the ground.

Maxwell did not budge a bit until the middle-aged man's face turned red and his arms and legs began

to cramp.

Harriet smiled secretly as she looked at this scene.

"How could it be..." The fat man looked surprised and stared at Maxwell with disbelief in his eyes.

"Are you a man? Why can't I feel your strength?" Maxwell gave the fat man a queer look.

"You..." The fat man's look changed and he soon became polite. He looked at Harriet, smiled politely

and asked, "Could you please introduce him to me?" The portly middle-aged man looked at Maxwell.

Maxwell smiled and was about to speak when Harriet said, "This is my husband."

Maxwell paused, looking strangely at Harriet.

'Husband? When did I become her husband?' wondered Maxwell.
